1. Controller

For all questions regarding data protection and the exercise of your rights, you can reach us directly at datenschutz@fiberone.de.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is operated on NYNEX satellite OHG’s own infrastructure in Germany; no external cloud or hosting providers are used to deliver the content. When you access the website, our web server automatically processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time of access, page accessed, volume of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser and operating-system identifiers.

This processing is carried out to provide the website, to ensure the stability and security of our systems, and to defend against attacks (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — legitimate interest).

The server log files are automatically deleted or anonymised after no more than 7 days. Any storage beyond this takes place only insofar as it is necessary to investigate or defend against a specific security incident; the affected log files are then retained until the matter has been conclusively resolved.

3. Cookies, local storage and tracking

This website does not use any tracking or analytics services and does not use cookies for advertising or analytics purposes. No profiling takes place.

The optional browser game on the home page may store game data (a high-score list with a freely chosen player name) exclusively locally in your browser (localStorage). This data does not leave your device and can be deleted by you at any time via your browser settings.

4. Availability check

When checking an address, you enter your address. Your input is transmitted to our own server in Germany to determine the available connections and is matched against our roll-out database. For address suggestions while typing and to confirm the house number, we use the SmartMaps geocoding service of YellowMap AG (Karlsruhe, Germany): the address you enter and your IP address are transmitted to YellowMap; the associated program library is loaded via the jsDelivr CDN, in the course of which your IP address is transmitted to jsDelivr. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a functional address search). No external map services (e.g. OpenStreetMap or Google Maps) are used. The address entry itself is not stored by us as long as you do not place an order.

5. Fonts and libraries

The fonts used on this website are served locally from our own server (self-hosting). There is no connection to Google Fonts, and no data is transmitted to Google or other third parties for this purpose.

6. Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Search Console helps us solely to monitor the technical discoverability of our website in Google Search, to detect indexing and crawling errors, and to improve our content.

Search Console does not set any cookies in our visitors’ browsers and does not embed any tracking or analytics code into this website. No collection or analysis of individual browsing behaviour takes place through Search Console. To confirm that we are the owner of this website, we merely store a verification token — for example as a meta tag in the source code, as a DNS record, or as a verification file on the server.

The reports that Google provides to us in Search Console (e.g. search terms through which our pages were found, as well as the frequency of impressions and clicks) are made available to us exclusively in aggregated form that cannot be related to individual persons. The underlying data processing is carried out by Google as part of operating Google Search; Google is independently responsible for this.

The legal basis for our use of Search Console is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically sound and easily discoverable website). Further information on data processing by Google can be found in Google’s privacy policy.

7. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, telephone or via the business-customer contact form, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, company, email address, telephone number, content of the enquiry) solely to handle your request. The contact form on this website transmits your entries to our own server in Germany, which generates an email from them and sends it to our responsible support or sales mailbox. No external dispatch service provider is used; no transfer to third parties takes place.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures or contract performance) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries). We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion.

8. Orders and customer account

Orders and the management of your contract take place via our customer portal at portal.fiberone.de. We process the inventory, contract, billing and traffic data handled there on our own systems to perform the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and to fulfil legal obligations, in particular under the TKG and TDDDG (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR). The commercial and tax-law retention periods apply.

For payment by SEPA direct debit, we process the payment data you provide (account holder, IBAN, mandate reference) to collect the contractually owed charges (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). We do not carry out any credit or Schufa checks.

This privacy policy also applies to our customer portal at portal.fiberone.de; the data processed there in connection with orders, contracts and billing is covered by this policy.

9. Data transfer to the wholesale provider (Telekom Deutschland GmbH)

Some tariffs are provided via the Telekom network (VDSL and fibre GPON products; identified in the respective product information sheet as being realised via a wholesale product of Telekom Deutschland GmbH). To activate such a connection, we transmit the contact details of the connection to Telekom Deutschland GmbH, Landgrabenweg 151, 53227 Bonn, Germany: the name and address of the connection holder, the location of the connection (address, floor/unit) and your contact details for scheduling appointments (telephone number, email address where applicable), e.g. for a technician visit. In the case of a provider switch or number porting, we additionally transmit the information required for this (previous provider, affected numbers).

Data is transmitted only to the extent necessary for the provision, operation and fault clearance of the connection. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract performance) and, for provider switches and porting, additionally Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR in conjunction with Section 59 of the German Telecommunications Act (TKG). Telekom Deutschland GmbH processes this data as an independent controller; information is available at telekom.de/datenschutzhinweise. No data is transferred to third countries. Connections on fiberONE's own fibre network (FTTB/FTTH) are not affected — no data is transmitted to Telekom for these.

10. Telephone support and call recording

Calls to our support team may be recorded. The recordings are processed exclusively on NYNEX satellite OHG’s own servers in Germany — no external cloud services are used, and there is no transfer to third parties or to third countries. Analysis is carried out locally using AI-supported methods.

The content is stored in anonymised form and serves solely to improve our support documentation and the quality of our support; no personal profiling takes place. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in quality assurance and improvement of support); insofar as consent is required, we obtain it at the start of the call (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can object to a recording at any time — our support is also available to you without recording.

11. External links

Our website links to external offerings (e.g. video tutorials on YouTube, the AVM knowledge base, our shop). Merely viewing our pages does not transmit any data to these providers — only when you follow a link do the privacy policies of the respective provider apply.

12. Your rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal data: the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, an informal message to datenschutz@fiberone.de is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (HBDI), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden, datenschutz.hessen.de.

13. Data security and currency

We protect our website and systems against loss, destruction, unauthorised access and manipulation through technical and organisational measures; transmission is TLS-encrypted. We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. via unencrypted email) can have security vulnerabilities.
